</strong><br />
I took a year out to compete in the 2002/2003 Clipper Ventures Around The World Yacht Race. 11 months and 35,000 miles brought the yacht I was on (Bristol Clipper) back home in 2nd place. One of the proudest moments I have had was sailing up the river Mersey on the final day with a crowd reported to be around 80,000 lining the banks to see us home.</p>
